Ops Call Board

The Carolina Coastal Railroaders hold Operating Sessions the forth Saturday of each month.

The purpose of these Ops Sessions is to operate the layout as if it were an actual railroad.  Trains are scheduled and operated in accordance with railroad rules using engineers, conductors and a dispatcher.

There are passenger trains and freight trains that run on our simulated railroad eastbound from Selma, NC to Morehead City, NC or westbound from Morehead City, NC to Selma, NC. (The railroad is being expanded to run from Durham, NC to Morehead City and will be ready in the near future.) They carry passengers and stop at stations along the route or they carry freight and make stops dropping and picking up freight cars at industries along the route.

These operating sessions bring the business of a railroad to life and are of great enjoyment to the members.
